Mobile Notary Policy

General Services Guideline

Prior to scheduling a mobile notary appointment, please review our governing policies, identification standards, travel fees, and service constraints. These protocols are designed to facilitate a professional, compliant, and efficient experience.

1. Policy Summary

Professional Consulting Services provides mobile notary support by appointment. Factors such as regional availability, distance, document complexity, and signer preparation may influence final costs.

2. Identification Standards
  • Every signer must provide a valid, government-issued photo ID. The name on the credential must correspond with the document signature line. Expired, altered, or damaged IDs cannot be accepted. Acceptable forms include current driver's licenses, state IDs, passports, military IDs, or other approved government credentials.

All signatories are required to present valid identification during the session.

3. Mandatory Physical Presence
  • All necessary signatories must be physically present at the time of notarization. Signers must act of their own free will and show full awareness. Services cannot be rendered if a signer is absent, coerced, impaired, or fails to provide proper identification.
4. Document Preparation
  • Documents must be fully prepared for review. Do not sign any paperwork until instructed by the notary. All blank fields must be filled in prior to our arrival. Note that the notary is prohibited from selecting the certificate type or providing legal interpretations of the text.
5. Travel Fees
  • Mobile fees apply based on location, travel time, parking, and transit conditions. These fees remain payable even if the notarization is aborted due to missing identification, absent signers, or incomplete paperwork. Please confirm all applicable travel costs before finalizing your booking.
6. Waiting Time Terms
  • A grace period is provided; however, extended delays may incur additional charges. If signers are not prepared at the designated time, the appointment may be subject to rescheduling.
7. Witness Provisions
  • Certain documents require independent witnesses. It is the client's responsibility to verify these requirements in advance. All witnesses must be present with valid ID. Professional Consulting Services does not provide witnesses unless specifically arranged prior to the meeting.
8. Site Safety and Suitability
  • Appointments must occur in a safe and appropriate environment. We reserve the right to decline or terminate service if a location is deemed unsafe or inaccessible. For convenience, meeting in a neutral public space is often recommended for all parties.
9. Refusal of Service

Service may be withheld under the following conditions:

  • Signer lacks valid ID; Signer is not physically present; Signer appears coerced or confused; Paperwork is incomplete; Request involves unlawful activity; Environment is unsafe; Required witnesses are unavailable.

10. Legal Advice Disclosure

M. Pugh Legal Support Services offers notary and administrative support only. Our staff are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice, draft legal documents, or advise on document selection. Please consult with qualified legal counsel for any professional legal guidance.

11. Pre-Booking Checklist

Before finalizing your mobile notary request, please:

  • Verify attendee presence; Ensure all signatories have current government IDs; Review all documents for completion; Wait for instruction before signing; Determine if witnesses are required; Confirm the meeting location details; Inquire about total travel fees during the request.
